Michael Donadio to participate as a speaker at the European Conference

Little by little we are getting to know some of the most representative names in the sector who will be attending as speakers at the European Conference that we are organising at the Association.

Here is a new speaker for the annual event.

Mr. Michel Donadio is an experienced chemist in the field of cementitious materials having worked globally with cement producers and mortar manufacturers.

He started working with Lafarge in 1980 and joined Sika France in 1986 as the Mortar Laboratory Manager.

In 1992, he moved to Sika Malaysia as Technical Manager looking after the laboratory and the technical service department.

In February 2003, he took over a corporate function at Sika Service AG as Product Engineer for repair & protection activities. He is currently the Technical Manager of the Target Market Refurbishment in the Corporate organisation.

He participated to various international conferences where he presented different topics such as hydrophobic sealers (e.g., Hydrophobe IV in 2005 in Stockholm, Sweden & Hydrophobe VII in 2014 in Lisbon, Portugal; Hydrophobe VIII in 2017 in Hong Kong; ICRI Fall conference in Chicago 2013 & 2016 Concrete Solution in Thessaloniki, Greece), sustainability of concrete protection in cooling towers (e.g. in 2013 in Wroclaw, Poland and in 2014 in Mumbai, India) & life cycle assessment in waste water treatment plant (in 2019 at the 7th International Conference of Concrete Solution in Romania).

He is currently representing AFNOR (French standard organization) as the chairman of the CEN/TC 104/SC 8 committee handling the revision of the range of the standards EN 1504 and he is personally active in the Working Group WG1 & WG2 of the TC 104/SC8, looking after the revision of the EN 1504-2 (WG1: concrete protection) and EN 1504-3 (WG2: concrete repair).
