Alejandro Rodríguez will be INECO’s speaker at the European Conference 2024

The European Conference 2024 will be attended by Alejandro Rodríguez González, INECO professional. His presentation will be about Long-term monitoring of two bridges in the Spanish railway network. He will also talk about how to control with data the decision making of a possible structural intervention. Find out the full programme here.

Alejandro is a civil engineer with more than 12 years of experience in structural health assessment (SHM) and maintenance of railway structures. Currently, in addition to his duties as head of the Structural Testing and Inspections division, he coordinates and develops an international R&D project focused on dynamic testing-based preservation techniques.

He is highly committed to improving the maintenance of railway infrastructures, with the firm objective of promoting the implementation of efficient and predictive maintenance in the future.

 

Some of the most relevant projects in which he has participated are detailed below:

– Development of several consultancy and technical assistance contracts for Load Tests and Inspections of structures on High Speed Railway Lines for ADIF (Cuenca – Albacete, Torrejón de Velasco – Cuenca, La Roca – Riudellots, Valladolid – Palencia, Antequera – Granada and Palencia – Burgos), the General Directorate of Railways (3 contracts with structures throughout Spain) and private companies.- Vibration assessment: Vibration and noise measurement and assessment campaign on lines 1 and 5 of Metro de Madrid. Study of effects due to the proximity of Metro installations for private clients.

– Determination of dynamic parameters (modal shapes, frequencies and associated damping) using operational modal analysis (OMA) and traditional methods. Dynamic study of the Pamplona Bullring.

– Technical Assistance Technician: Remodelling of the building, interlocking and tracks at the Torrejón de Ardoz commuter train station for the DGI of the Community of Madrid. Inspections and laying out of track renewal areas for Metro de Madrid.

– Development of various bridge inspection campaigns within the framework of Bridge Management Systems for the City Council and the Community of Madrid.
