The ACRP European Conference 2026 — Saving Structures: Construction, Repair, Reinforcement and Protection — will take place on 25 and 26 November 2026 at the Grand Hôtel Stockholm, Sweden, in collaboration with REBET, the Swedish national association for concrete repair.
The scientific programme is now confirmed. Engineers, researchers, contractors, and industry specialists from across Europe will gather for technical sessions, case study presentations, and a closing roundtable discussion — all focused on one question: how do we extend the service life of the structures that keep society running?
The programme includes:
- Session I — Assessment and Investigation Techniques: prestressed bridge inspection, biogenic corrosion, service-life modelling, asset management, and cathodic protection.
- Session II — Technical Solutions and Execution I: tidal and splash zone protection, complex deterioration mechanisms, and railway tunnel rehabilitation.
- Session III — Technical Solutions and Execution II: corrosion protection systems, marine infrastructure repair, and structural retrofitting case studies from Spain.
- Roundtable — The Challenges of Saving Structures: a cross-disciplinary conversation moderated by Peter McCloskey (Vector Corrosion Technologies).
The conference opens on 25 November with a guided technical visit to bridge repair sites in central Stockholm, followed by a Welcome Dinner for all participants.
