One week to the Concrete Repair Day, the annual event of the Danish Concrete Association – DBF
29/01/2025
The upcoming Betonreparationsdagen (Concrete Repair Day) will bring together industry experts in Denmark to discuss developments, challenges and solutions in the concrete repair sector. The event, organised by the Danish Concrete Association (DBF), will be held in an interactive format with lectures, presentations and exhibitions.
Event description
The day will feature expert presentations, case studies and networking opportunities with key industry players. Attendees will be able to learn about innovative solutions, update their knowledge of maintenance and repair of concrete structures and interact with the many exhibitors present.
A varied programme for concrete professionals
The event will begin at 08:30 with registration and a welcome coffee, followed by a series of presentations covering key aspects of concrete repair. The first presentation will be on the use of drones and artificial intelligence (AI) in research by Kirsten Riis from the Danish Road Directorate and Natasha Lykke Barnes from COWI A/S. This session will explore the possibilities of applying these technologies in industry, from those that have already been implemented to those that may arise in the future.
Gitte Munch-Petersen will then present the latest news from our Danish member, DANREP, an industry network dedicated to strengthening competencies in concrete repair, with courses scheduled to start in March 2025.

The day will also include a visit to a concrete repair site, organised by Danny Stuhr, to discuss the challenges and solutions in these projects. Josefine Ebbe and Andreas Parbo from Cubric Group will then talk about the working environment at the sites.
Case studies and sustainability
The afternoon will highlight cases where economics and sustainability go hand in hand. Mona Nielsen will present a case study on the construction of concrete tank farms in coastal areas to protect against environmental disasters.
Karla Hornbostel from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration will present the case of field trials of mortars for cathodic protection, and Linda Jill Peitersen will present the repair of the balustrade at Viborg Cathedral School.
Finally, Christian Munch-Petersen will talk about the repair of construction defects, after which there will be a reception and refreshments.
