Víctor Lanza Fernández will be at the European Conference 2024

D. Víctor Lanza Fernández is Head of the ‘Materials Science’ Area at CEDEX and on 28th November he will be a speaker at the European Conference talking about corrosion deterioration in dyke shoulders.

Since 2003, Victor has developed his work in the Central Laboratory of Structures and Materials of CEDEX, always in the field of concrete: its technology, components and pathologies.
Between 2010 and 2021 he was responsible for the Concrete Durability Division, carrying out technical assistance and applied research in the field of reinforcement corrosion in concrete exposed to marine environments, expansive reactions of concrete, dam pathologies, among others.

In 2011 he completed his doctoral thesis on the alkali-silica reaction in Spanish aggregates.

Since 2021, he has been the Head of the Materials Science Area, assuming the management and direction of the work that the area carries out in the field of concrete technology, its durability, and studies by optical and scanning electron microscopy of concrete and its components.
